As I sit down to write this post regarding a recent wedding at Ballymagarvey Village, it’s now early September and raining outside my window. What I wouldn’t give to go back to sunshine of early May 2019. Jennifer and Colm had a magnificent Ballymagarvey Village Wedding back then and the day they got to tie that knot was simply perfect.
I will be featuring this stunning wedding in a couple of weeks however I wanted to share a few of the highlights from the couple portraits. We were so lucky to be able to use the bright sunshine to our advantage and capture beautiful, romantic Bride & Groom photos. This is the third wedding at Ballymagarvey Village (www.ballymagarveyvillage.ie) that I’ve captured and the venue has so many gorgeous outdoor options for photos. All we had to do was to decide where to go. For Jennifer & Colm’s portraits I utilised the light in various different ways. I incorporated the shade of trees to create softer light at times. I used the harsh sunlight for some portraits which incorporated bright blue skies and warm sunny skin tones. During the speeches and dinner, I kept checking the sun to see if by any possibility a beautiful sunset might happen. My checking paid off. Sunset Portraits definitely worked out!
