This is the story of Aisling & Ciaran’s Farnham Estate Wedding. A story that I think it’s safe to say is a superb example of the motto: ‘Fortune Favours the Brave’. Six months into a global pandemic. When restrictions for weddings were changing faster than the runway models at Paris Fashion Week, these two stuck to their guns and held tight. When some couples were now on their second cancelled wedding date and looking to 2022, these two laughed, skipped and continued working as Dentists. When their wedding guest list had to be cut in half, they got a bit of the fear, some doubt but remained strong without budging.
And so it was. Aisling and Ciaran were my only 2020 couple that held onto their original wedding date. They married on the day they had intentionally planned a long time ago. Their Farnham Estate Wedding took place on a truly beautiful summer’s day in August. They had 50 guests who enjoyed glorious sunshine, ice-cream & drinks on the lawn. They celebrated in style and enjoyed the very little touches that made the day so personal to Aisling & Ciaran.
For instance, Irish wildflowers adorned the venue and table settings courtesy of the extremely creative Leitrim flowers. Aisling was born in Zimbabwe and the ‘Flame Lily’ is the national flower of Zimbabwe. So this stunning flower from Africa represented her roots within her bouquet, sitting alongside the African Proteas. Stunning Bird of Paradise flowers sat in their altar arrangement. Yes flowers were the name of the game folks…please keep up. Beautiful Irish and African ones.
Aisling put her very artistic self to good use and using watercolours painted them for their mass booklet and table plan. These beautiful paintings which sat on each table were also animated and put into a large digital ‘moving’ table plan for all the guests. Animated flowers swaying gently in the wind and a summer bee flying from one to the next. It really was a sight to behold. With some beautiful sunset portraits of the happy couple, After such a gorgeous day at Farnham Estate, this wedding truly became a mid-summer night’s dream. Just perfect.
