CASTLE LESLIE WEDDING

This is the story of Niamh & Kev and their magnificent Castle Leslie Wedding. These newlyweds had a veeeeeeeery cool start on the journey to ‘tying to knot’. First stop was their romantic proposal taking place in none other than New York City! Followed by plans to   have a gorgeous Winter Wedding here in our beautiful country (Ireland). Despite our love for them, we typically don’t do beautiful, calm and snowy winters here. So it’s safe to say that couples need to be prepared for ALL kinds of weather. Ideally they should then find a big, slick, and warm wedding venue to accommodate their lovely guests. This is essential when there are approx 215 of them! Most importantly you need to go with the flow, don’t sweat the small stuff and be sure to thoroughly enjoy the day, no matter how it unfolds.

The big day brought outrageous rain, some nasty wind and painfully slow road works outside the church. None of this mattered however because absolutely nothing could dampen the excitement of these Newlyweds. While Castle Leslie Estate (www.castleleslie.com) definitely delivered on the day. Niamh & Kev had such a beautifully personalised wedding full of involvement from friends and family. After all what’s not to love about some of your nearest & dearest playing a vital part in your big day too?  This included the priest who married them being a good friend of Kev’s and another guest making their beautiful cake. Other friends provided the gorgeous wedding cars, while Niamh’s second cousin Aoife (www.aoifecallaghanmakeup.com) on make-up duties for the ladies.

This is my second time capturing a Castle Leslie Wedding (to see a summer wedding at this venue go to www.fotograph.ie/gallery/grace-and-chris-wedding). With it’s many bedrooms, bathrooms, bars & boudoirs combined with beautiful old world charm, furniture, antiques, frames and warm fires – I have to say, this was a perfect location for a beautiful Winter Wedding.
