This is the story of Meredith & Conan and their stunning Tinakilly House Wedding. If ever there was a ‘well-travelled’ wedding story, this couple’s journey would give it a run for its money. Even more importantly, does that sentence even make sense?!! Perhaps it might be better to simply say so many beautiful parts of the world are tied into their wedding story.
To start with, Meredith is from Texas & Conan is from Ireland. Secondly these love birds met and fell in love for realzies in Vienna, Austria. You see what I mean now? But there’s more. The couple got engaged in Naples, Italy. Their next stop was a place known as ‘The Garden of Ireland’ (Co. Wicklow). Here they had summertime Tinakilly House wedding in a truly beautiful garden. And after all that for their honeymoon these lucky ducks plan to take a long American Southwest road-trip. Taking in New Mexico, Colorado, Utah and finishing up somewhere in California. What a truly beautiful journey they’ve had so far.
A few years ago I had the pleasure of capturing a gorgeous, cosy Tinakilly House wedding during the Christmas period. You can check out this beauty here. At the time I really loved the old world charm and character that this beautiful Victorian house embodied. Then came the summer of 2018 with all it’s sunshine, ice-creams heat-waviness & Vitamin D! One of the things I pride myself on is helping couples get the most out of the wedding photography. For Meredith & Conan, I suggested they have a ‘first look’ prior to their ceremony and they loved the idea. Capturing the couple’s excitement and anticipation right before they saw each other for the first time was so damn lovely. We strolled around the woodlands on site to capture some beautiful, romantic Bride & Groom portraits. And this lead smoothly into their garden ceremony which was decorated to perfection by Camelia from Austen Flowers . Judging by all the ‘ear to ear’ smiles, I think the newlyweds & their guests loved it even moreso. Gorgeous garden vibes, colourful flowers with jenga & crochet for the guests to entertain themselves at the drinks reception.
So what was the cherry on top of this glorious celebration you may ask? As they tied the knot, the happy couple were serenaded by the soft strumming and gorgeous vocals of Caoimhe Barry. Caoimhe (a Wicklow native) is drummer, vocalist and one third of the beat-driven, R&B-flavoured, vocal harmony-tastic – Wyvern Lingo. Summer vibes, sunshine and smiles….what’s not to love ?!
